Cool off in Aqua Natura
On the last day in March 2019 I had bought an annual pass for my family and myself for Terra Natura in Benidorm. For a little extra money we have also given ourselves access to Aqua Natura. This is the water park which belongs to the zoo. At the end of June the weather is allready hot and for this reason it is a excellent idea to cool af in this waterpark. Earlier I wrote a review about Terra Natura on my website. Now a short review about Aqua Natura.
The sea lions are located in Aqua Natura. So you can see them here. If you want to spend more money, you can buy an experience at the zoo. By buying this experience you will visit together with the caretaker the sea lios. You are allowed to feed them and swim with them. An other experience you can buy is the one where your daughter or son dress up and swim like a mermaid.
However, most visitors come in order to swim in a sub-tropical atmosphere. The swimming pool is large. Everything is nicely decorated with palm trees and a lighthouse. There are various slides. The small slides are suitable for young children. The big slides are suitable for teenagers and adults. There is also a toddler area in the swimming pool. Of course there are sun beds here which you can rent for four (2019) Euro a day. Bringing your own sun bed is not allowed, however bringing your own food and drinks is allowed. So I took my own food and drinks with me. But there are bars and restaurants too. Finally, you can also rent a locker if needed.
Is this waterpark a success?
I personally think so. My children think it is a fun and exciting swimming pool, because of the slides. The only thing that I found less was the smell of the Terra Natura zoo. But for the rest it is a great park to entertain you for a few hours. As an annual card holder, access and stay are of course cheaper than as a tourist who is only on holiday on the Costa Blanca for a week. There are more water parks around Benidorm, such as Aqualandia. I have not been to this park yet. For small childrens Aqua Natura is a good choice.
