Having dinner at Columbus
Dining out in Altea.
After the climb to the church and the descent down it was time to eat like all Spaniards do at 14 PM. Grandpa and grandma knew a nice restaurant on the boulevard: Columbus. The nice thing is mainly in the design. Children will love it, because the restaurant looks like a ship from the 15th century with a lot of nice details. Just going to the toilet in this restaurant is also an experience for children with the decoration on the walls.
Restaurant Columbus
We ordered a menu del día (daily menu). As a starter I took a salad. My main course was paella with chicken and seafood. Also typical Spanish food, which is a little bit adjusted to the taste of the tourist. On the other hand was the menu for the children not special. My children opted for fries and chicken nuggets. As a desert we finally took ice cream. The paella was delicious. In short Columbus is recommended for children because of the design. It is very different from an average restaurant. The only downside were the menus. They were pretty worn out and need replacing. On the day I went the weather was good and we decided to let the children play on the beach. All in all it was a good day.
